I am a storyteller. I am the Geographer-at-Large for a parallel universe called Kcymaerxthaere, which we have installed through 142 markers and historical sites in 30 countries. I am the director of the Eames Office, dedicated to communicating, preserving and extending the work of Charles and Ray Eames. I have also written several books about their work. In addition, I am the Chairman of the Board of the Eames Foundation. I am a filmmaker who has made about 75 films, from 35mm features to short documentaries, from animation to feature docs. I have spoken on the TED Mainstage and lecture on topics such as scale, design, the Eames work and my own. I also consult to companies that are trying to integrate design and new kinds of thinking to their corporate culture.
