By mixing his passion for music and social phenomenon, Jurgis proves that an artist can do much more than just entertain; he can enlighten, catalyse, and make a transformative impact.

Artistic Activist, Corporate Edutainer, Inspirational Troubadour, Purposeful Performer, Motivational Musician. Jurgis Didžiulis (aka Jurgis DID) is hard to pin down with conventional labels. He combines musical performance, motivational speaking, stand-up comedy and interactive co-creation to forge exceptional participative experiences. He transcends genres and formats gracefully with a subversively innovative mindset focused on empowering people and elevating our collective awareness. Although what Jurgis does is unique, natural and fluid, it defies straight-forward description due to it’s myriad interpretations and numerous applications.

Jurgis always cooks with the same ingredients, but he’ll mix them differently depending on the people, place, and circumstances. That is why the same cocktail of creative interaction and enlightening oratory could be considered to be a team-building activity or an interactive musical seminar by some, and meaningful fun by others.

His colourful cultural heritage and a professional background that includes Eurovision and EU consultant allows him to sincerely connect with very different audiences, ranging from arenas packed with thousands of tech-heads and corporate suits to royal receptions and kindergartens alike.

BIOGRAPHY

In a previous life, Jurgis was a successful musician. He thrived as a creative chameleon in Lithuania, after moving there from Colombia in late 2000. Fearless experimentation earned him numerous awards and garnered many hits with projects like “InCulto” and “The Ball & Chain”, but frustration with the creative constraints of the industry put him at an impasse. He also found himself out of alignment with his activist calling.

In 2015, after finishing his MBA, and inspired by examples of disruptive innovation, he decided to break the mould and explore other, more human applications, possibilities, and models for making music. That desire to do more with his art has led him down an exploratory journey that redefined him and the scope of his activities. It spawned a new form of exceptional, participatory musical experiences, that enlighten and engage as well as entertain.

Jurgis is more than a musician. He studied Political Science and as well as Business Administration, and has extensive experience in campaigning, corporate education, media-consulting, and many things “social”. He’s previously hosted TV shows (MTV), sat on the board of NGO’s (SaveTheChildrenLT) and has entertained practically everywhere; from arenas packed with thousands of people, to corporate boardrooms, government institutions, TEDx and kindergartens. His diverse background ranging from Eurovision to EU consultant allows him to transcend formats, blur lines and adapt to audiences effortlessly, and shape-shift flexibly.

Jurgis wants to leave the world a better place than he found it. Music, art and FUN are his weapons of choice.
